Hotel Atlantic Kempinski in Hamburg

I had the pleasure to stay there during a conference – one of the rather NICE hotels. It was build in 1909 by a German shipping company owner so that the first class passengers on his new ships travelling from Hamburg, Germany to the US had a nice place to stay prior to their voyage. Worth reading up on Wikipedia …

The hotel has consistently been among the top German hotels; as of late it was renovated. Throughout the hotel, there are “shipping memorabilia” a tiny collection of which I have taken pictures of and show them here. The order is somewhat random but you get the drift.
